Dr. Bohlig specializes in non-operative Sports Medicine. He is board certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) & Sports Medicine. He can guide conservative care & offers a wide array of ultrasound-guided injections/procedures, including TenJet to treat chronic tendinopathy. He has experience with TenJet treatments of the gluteal tendons, hamstring, quadriceps, patellar tendon, lateral elbow (common extensor tendon), distal triceps tendon, Achilles tendon, and rotator cuff tendons.
He completed his PM&R residency training at the University of Louisville and Sports Medicine Fellowship at AMITA Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago, IL. After training he worked in Central Ohio for five years, then returned to the University of Louisville to take a position in the Orthopedics department focusing on non-operative care in the outpatient community setting. In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Bohlig teaches resident physicians in Sports Medicine topics and Ultrasound-guided procedures.
Dr. Bohlig enjoys spending his free time with his wife, son, and their 2 dogs. He likes to cheer on his favorite sports teams, golf, ski, bike, hike, cook and bake.
