A Safer, Faster, Cleaner Way to Prepare Bone Allografts

The AlloJet Allograft debridement system uses a powerful, 500 mph, high-velocity fluidjet to safely and effectively remove soft tissue from donor bones. Sharper than a scalpel, but ergonomically safer, this innovative approach to allograft tissue processing enables a sterile cleaning technique, thereby saving processing time, increasing yield, and reducing workplace injuries.

Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation and Rocky Mountain Tissue Bank currently use the AlloJet Allograft debridement system.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each handpiece is a sterile single use disposable. The steel handle is reusable and needs to be sterilized after use. The power console unit does not come in contact with tissue. Typically, our current customers will use one handpiece per donor specimen. Each handpiece is used intermittently for one to eight hours.

Yes. We currently supply certificates of sterility for each lot to our current customer base. We are happy to supply this to you as well.

Our system uses approximately 200 ml of water per minute of use. Some current users employ a sterile water system, while others use sterile IV bags in either 3000 or 1000 ml. A sterile water system is not necessary; however, you may want to consider one if after a product trial you agree that this makes your method of preparation more efficient. Our current users started with a no-charge trial program to make this determination.
The power console has power settings from 1–10, allowing everything from a low velocity washing jet to a strong cutting and ablating jet. The operator selectable control provides for the versatility needed during tissue debridement.
Yes, the AlloJet debridement system is an excellent instrument for removing soft tissue from bone. The technician can adjust the pressure and jet velocity to suit each tissue cleaning requirement. Due to its erosive process, it has the capability of taking soft tissues off harder tissues. As an example, the HydroCision AlloJet can be controlled to remove the coronal ligament on a tibial head, removing all fibrous soft tissue from the many tiny bony connection points while allowing careful trimming of tissue right up to a carefully feathered edge, thus maintaining an intact cartilaginous tibial head.
