Customer Service Specialist

The Customer Care Specialist reports to the Manager of Customer Care & Corporate Solutions.  Additionally, they will have limited, defined, accounting responsibilities, for which they will have responsibility to the Controller.

This full-time, in-office position requires a mixture of highly developed customer care (service) skills, along with the ability to assist marketing and sales in bringing new products to market in a timely manner.  The candidate needs to have strong oral and written communications skills, and experience with sales support.  Additionally, they will be asked to provide some accounting support in the form of limited book-keeping responsibilities.  Flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while adapting to changing priorities are critical.

The candidate will also reject setbacks and will enthusiastically persist until ambitious goals are achieved. They will need to be resourceful and innovative at tackling complex Customer Care challenges in a timely matter.  The position requires ability to work with medical customers and sales reps to identify customer needs and support the sales process. They will need to be able to establish strong rapport with customers and sales, so as to effectively communicate commitment to meeting their needs and expectations.

This person also will be asked to provide limited levels of book-keeping support, accurately collecting and entering transaction information into accounting software on a timely basis.  Organized record-keeping, along with attention to detail and accuracy are critical characteristics.

Background, Skills & Proficiencies

  • QuickBooks Desktop essential, Manufacturing & Wholesale optional
  • Excellent customer service skills particularly phone and email correspondence
  • Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on Excel
  • Medical device sector, especially in manufacturing environment, desirable
  • Experience in a start-up/growth stage environment preferable
