Dr. Ham is one of the few people in Charlotte who is actually from Charlotte. He graduated the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) and earned his medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM). He completed a residency in Family Medicine at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) and completed his fellowship in Sports Medicine at Atrium Health primary care sports medicine fellowship.
Dr. Ham currently practices primary care sports medicine at both the Randolph Road and Lincolnton locations. He serves as the head team physician for Queens University of Charlotte and the medical director for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s Masters-level Athletic Training Program. His clinical interests include sports ultrasound, concussion management, and teaching musculoskeletal physical exam techniques to medical students.
Outside of work, Dr. Ham enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is passionate about combining his love of medicine, education, and athletics to mentor the next generation of sports medicine professionals.
